With Kadam Tim: How to Develop Sustainable Self-confidence

RESERVE YOUR SEAT NOW!

Everyone is welcome to join this workshop, no prior knowledge required!

Join us for a special event with guest teacher Kadam Tim Larcombe from our sister center in Copenhagen, Denmark. We will explore the topic of self-worth beyond the confines of professional success and societal - or even familial - expectations.

Discover how meditation can help you become aware of and deepen your experience of your own sense of self-worth and thus empower you to develop a truly sustainable, healthy self-confidence that is independent of external circumstances and expectations of others.

In today’s world, it's all too common to tie our self-worth to our accomplishments. For some of us, our self-worth is also deeply tied to approval by people we admire or feel dependent on. Either way, the resultant pressure to perform can take a toll on our well-being, leaving us feeling insecure and unsure of ourselves - in other words: lacking actual self-confidence. True self-confidence is necessarily based on a sustainable sense of our value as a person, our self-worth independent of external evaluation. During this afternoon, Kadam Tim will guide you through meditation experiences and explain Buddhist insights, that allow you to develop an authentic, centered and sustainable sense of self-worth and self-confidence.

About the Teacher

Kadam Tim Larcombe is the Resident Teacher of our sister center KMC Copenhagen in Denmark and brings with him over 22 years of meditation experience.

His own inner journey on the Buddhist path began in 2002 when he encountered Kadampa Buddhism by chance in New York City while living in the US for several years and then joined the Sangha community of our sister center KMC NYC. Deeply touched by the books and oral instructions of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Kadam Tim soon joined our tradition's Teacher Training Program there.

In 2005, Venerable Geshe-la asked him to establish a Kadampa Meditation Center in Copenhagen, where he became the first Resident Teacher until he had to step down for work and family reasons. In 2019, he was able to resume the position of Resident Teacher full time.

Kadam Tim is known and loved for his warm and approachable nature, as well as his ability to share Buddha's teachings and meditation techniques with clarity and practicality. This ability comes not least from many years of personal experience of meditation practice in the context of partnership, family life and a demanding career in technology, product design and innovation - he knows first-hand that meditation is a reliable tool for all situations in life and is passionate about teaching everyone from all walks of life how to use meditation skillfully to live life with inner peace and experience more happiness and contentment - let yourself be inspired!
